Moonseok Choi

Moonseok Choi was born in Seoul, South Korea but spent 6 years of his childhood in Kansas. He earned a BA in Comparative Literature and Culture at Yonsei University and served as a translator in the ROK Army Special Forces for 2 years. His sonnet, “A Postcard from İzmir,” received Yonsei’s Academy of American Poets Prize in 2014. He currently teaches Creative Writing at the University of Notre Dame, where he is a 2018 MFA poetry candidate.
