(Idiom) A person, work, or literary journal which is considered
unpleasant, disreputable, or otherwise unwanted, but persistently shows up every three months anyway.

Johnny Damm has taught creative writing at Stetson University in Central Florida and Tulane University in New Orleans. After evacuating New Orleans in 2005, he traveled the roadways of the southern United States and retraced the death ride of Hank Williams Sr. for an ongoing creative project.

Matthew Nye’s Pike and Bloom was a finalist for 1913’s 1st Book Prize.  Originally from Indiana, he holds an MFA from the University of Utah and is currently pursuing a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Georgia.  He lives in Athens.
